Hey folks, I’ve been thinking about switching up my weekend routine. I’ve done some trail running, but now I want something new. What do you guys prefer for active weekends – mountain biking or hiking?

Hey! Lately, I’ve been trying to mix things up and focus on overall fitness, not just cardio, and found some really helpful structured plans on https://madmuscles.com/ that make regular workouts accessible, effective and joyful. They’ve got routines that improve strength, endurance, and mobility, which actually make both biking and hiking more enjoyable because you feel more capable and confident. Having a clear plan like that keeps me motivated even on off-days. Definitely worth checking out if you want your weekends to feel active but balanced.

Skribbl io is a website with a lot of very interesting and dramatic games, it makes me relax and entertain lightly with the fun and interesting games here.

I’d definitely go hiking. It’s a great way to slow down, take in the Pips NYT scenery, and still get a solid workout. Plus, you can truly disconnect and enjoy nature without worrying about maintaining balance or speed, unlike on a bike.

And don’t forget a proper helmet. Comfort matters on longer rides. Let us know how it goes if you end up riding this weekend!

If you're starting out, look into hardtail mountain bikes – like something from Trek or Giant. Keep it simple but get decent brakes. And padded gloves help more than people think!

Cool, thanks. I’ll check both apps out. Might try a short ride this weekend and see how my legs feel after. Any bike recommendations for a beginner? Nothing fancy, just something solid.

Haha, nice. I’ve done that too on rainy days. Back to trails – Strava is great if you’re leaning more toward biking. It tracks everything, even shows you what others are riding nearby.

Absolutely – I use AllTrails a lot. Super helpful for filtering by activity type, difficulty, even things like dog-friendly or shaded. You can also read real user reviews to avoid bad surprises.
Also, if you’re into chill stuff after a long hike, I sometimes just find something light to play online while resting – helps pass the time and relax a bit.
